Rupert Phelps joins BNY Mellon Wealth Management
BNY Mellon Wealth Management has announced the appointment of Rupert Phelps as director of family office business development. Phelps will be responsible for developing relationships with family offices and their advisers in the UK and EMEA region. He comes from UBS Global AM, and previous experience includes acting as a director in a private family office and various other senior positions in the wealth management and private client areas.
Stocks to head new VAT service at BTG Financial Partners
Barry Stocks has joined BTG Financial Partners in Manchester as director of VAT and indirect tax services. He will be providing a range of VAT consultancy services, such as advice in VAT mitigation and problem solving, dispute resolution, cashflow planning, VAT seminars and training. BTG Financial Partners provides specialist tax, financial and investigations advice, and works with accountants, lawyers and IFAs to give expert advice to their clients.
Keenan joins Credit Suisse Midlands team
Credit Suisse has recruited Nick Keenan as vice-president and relationship manager for the Midlands. Based in Nottingham, he will focus on building new private client relationships in the region. Keenan joins from Coutts & Co, where he worked as a senior financial planning specialist and delivered wealth management advice for clients based in the East Midlands. He has also worked for Carpenter Rees Jackson, Canada Life International and Friends Provident.
