River & Mercantile has launched its UK Equity High Alpha and UK Smaller Companies funds. Under Hugh Sergeant, UK Equity High Alpha holds between 35 and 45 large and mid-cap companies, in addition to 20 to 40 small-cap names. At launch it had 55.1% of its assets invested in blue-chip stocks, 18.7% in the FTSE 250 and 26.2% in the FTSE All-Small. The UK Smaller Companies offering, run by Dan Hanbury and Richard Staveley, is benchmarked against the Hoare Govett Smaller Companies ex-IT index.
