On 14-15 March, Altinvest London 2000 plans to explore the current opportunities for alternative investments. International Investment will be one of the official publications at the conference.
Following the lead of the US pension funds, European investors are increasingly looking to alternative investments to meet the needs of ever more demanding performance targets.
With recent mandates being given from the likes of British Airways pension funds and the Coal Pension Scheme, there is expected to be a large number of European institutional investors allocating funds to alternatives in the near future.
Speakers will include Michael Goldman, managing director at Momentum; Rikard Lundgren, managing director at Inter IKEA Treasury; Peter Fletcher, general manager at Parly & Co; Chris Kemp, pension fund manager at Caparo Group; Bjarne Graven Larsen, investments director at Arbejdsmarkedets Tillaegspension (Denmark); and Michael Manning, president at Stratton Advisors.
The conference will take place at 1 Whitehall Place in London and is being organised by AIC Worldwide.
