Scottish Mutual International is adding three with-profit funds to its single premium life assurance ...
The funds, which are available in sterling, dollars and euros, will participate in the investment earnings of the Scottish Mutual International With-Profits fund.
The funds are available to both UK residents and non-residents.
The current guaranteed bonus rates until March 2001 are 6.35% for the sterling fund and 5.5% for both the dollar and euro funds, net of annual management charges.
The terminal bonus rate has been set at 1.5% for all three currencies. The terminal bonus may apply on death claims within the first year and may also be added on claims and surrenders after year one.
Andy Whyte, managing director of Scottish Mutual International, said: "These are brand new funds set up in Dublin but managed by Abbey National Asset Managers.
"Because of our financial strength as part of the Abbey National Group, our asset allocation has over 70% in relevant equities in each of the three currency variants. This is attractive to investors as over the longer term we fully expect equities to continue to outperform fixed interest investments."
