Butterfield Bank has reported a 2007 first quarter net income of £35.7m, up 7.8% year-on-year. The bank's income from its Guernsey business was a record $3.2m, up 24% year- on-year. It said this primarily reflected strong revenue growth across all business lines, with total revenue rising by 26.3% to $14.4m. Net interest income was up 50.8% year on year reflecting strong growth in customer deposits and loans.
