Julian Chorlick and Simon Whittley were hired by Christows at the beginning of November and will be running a UK Growth multi-manager fund by month's end. The fund will invest in both long-only funds and hedge funds. The two join from Close Brothers Wealth Management where they ran the same portfolio as a managed offshore unit trust with unconstrained risk in the form of the £350m Coutts Managed PEP Plan UK Growth Fund. The fund is expected to be around 25% invested fixed interest and 75% equities.
Partner Insight: For Blackfinch, the arrival of its IHT portfolio services was a 'natural evolution' in the group's offering and points to an established track record of returning cash to investors.
