Martin Currie has launched a new pan-European fund using an investment philosophy that aims to outperform in all stages of the investment cycle.
The Luxembourg-domiciled Martin Currie Global Funds pan-European Fund will be the fifth sub-fund in its Sicav range.Dino Fuschillo is to be manager of the fund and it will mirror the pan-European Oeic. The portfolio will consist of around 40 stocks and Fuschillo will only buy companies if they appear to be under-valued compared with their peers.
Stock selection is through a bottom-up procedure. Sector weightings will be fairly high with top 10 holdings to be 3%-5% of the fund. Minimum investment is $5,000. The annual management fee is 1.5% and there is trail commission of 0.5%-0.75% available. Martin Currie Global Funds are available in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Ireland, Holland, Norway, Finland and Sweden. The Martin Currie Sicav has $180m under management.
