Dow Jones is to launch a series of China blue chip indices aimed at Chinese and global investors. The group is to create the products, based on the existing Dow Jones CBN China 600 Index. This consists of the 600 largest companies listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges. Lars Hamich, managing director of Stoxx, said: "We will license the Dow Jones CBN China 600 Sector Blue-Chip indices to financial institutions as the basis for products offering the chance to participate in the market."
