The new company will be headed by Anne Deegan, while Stephen G Meyer, managing director of the mother company, is a director in the new venture. SEI's other Dublin-based business, SEI Investments Global Fund Services, will assist in servicing this new business.
Together the two Dublin-based companies will be hiring 100 staff over the next three years, bringing the total employed in Ireland to 150.
SEI Investments is a global investment company, providing investment, technology, administration and distribution solutions for $255bn of client's assets. The Investment Systems and Services division is comprised of the technology services and mutual fund services businesses. These services realised approximately two-thirds of SEI's total revenue in 1999.
Major clients include State Street, Wells Fargo, Charles Schwab, Sun Trust, Apax Partners and ABN AMRO.
The Dublin launch, held on 15 June, was co-hosted by Deegan and James Cleary, managing director of SEI Investment's global fund services.
