Canada Life International has included the Midas Balanced Growth Fund and the Midas Balanced Income Fund in its offshore product range.
These two funds were both launched in April 2002. Since then the Midas Balanced Income Fund was ranked second in its IMA sector of cautious managed with a three-year performance of 35.15% in June 2005. For the same period the Balanced Growth Fund was third in the IMA sector of balanced managed with a performance of 41.58%.
Simon Edwards, manager of the Balanced Growth Fund, received a AAA rating by Citywire for his performance, while Alan Borrows, manager of the Balanced Income Fund has received a AA rating.
Mario Ricciardi, head of investments at Canada Life International, said: "When you have over 170 internal fund links it is not easy to find a niche for new funds. We like the fact that Midas are able to assess their own strengths, work to those strengths but outsource the management of those assets within the funds."
