Pictet has launched a US equity fund in its Luxembourg Sicav.
The fund invests in US large-cap growth stocks and has a focus towards companies in the healthcare, technology, consumer and financial services areas. There are between 45 and 55 stocks in the portfolio.
Daniel Becker and Philip Sanders of investment firm Waddell & Reed co-manage the fund.
Becker said: "We look for stocks that have a good brand name and know customers have a loyalty too. For example, products made by companies such as Harley Davidson and Colegate we know people like and trust. It will be these products that people will continue to buy if the economy starts to slow."
