Due to regulatory changes, Friends Provident International (FPI) will now offer all product literature in Iceland in Icelandic.
According to Sian Warren, international marketing manager at Friends Provident International, insurance companies are now required to provide all marketing literature in Icelandic by the local regulator.
She explained this was so investors would have greater protection and a better understanding of the products bought. FPI currently sells a savings plan as well as a term assurance product in Iceland.
FPI has also added four more funds to its savings plan aimed at the Icelandic market. These consist of the F&C Multi-Managed Growth and Investec Cautious Managed funds, as well as two Fidelity portfolios including its Money Builder product.
This takes the portfolio range on the savings product up to 18 from 14.
