Owing to the 0.5%reduction in the base rate by the Bank of England, Cheltenham & Gloucester has adjusted interest paid on its offshore investment accounts with effect from 3 December 2001. Guernsey 30, the offshore notice account, will pay investors 4% p.a gross/AER on balances of £100,000 or more. Investments of £25,000 to £99,000 will be subject to a rate of 3.95 %pa and balances of £5,000 to £24,999 will earn 3.75% pa.
