Fairbairn Private Bank has once again been listed as one of the best small companies to work for in the 2007 Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For.
The bank, a subsidiary of Old Mutual with offices in the Isle of Man and Jersey, has been included in the top 100 listing for the last three years and is one of only four companies to retain and continually improve its position over a three-year period.
It is currently ranked at 45th and remains the only British offshore island financial services business to ever have featured in the listing.
Its 116 staff gave job security a positive rating of 85% and were pleased with the range of benefits on offer.
In addition, 62% of staff said they did not feel exhausted after a day at work and just 11 small and medium enterprises scored better than Fairbairn's 80% for having a good work/life balance. 85% said they had confidence in the senior leadership of the bank. A further positive was the bank's two permanent training officers.
