NAME: Marco Pirodini
PROMOTION: Pioneer Investments
Pioneer has named Marco Pirodini as global chief investment officer. His appointment follows a restructuring of the executive management of Pioneer Investments. In 2000, Pirodini was appointed head of global equity research. Before that he was head of European equity research. Prior to these positions Pirodini was also head of Italian equities in the portfolio management team for three years. Pirodini began his career within the group with Credito Italiano and in 1993 he moved into the asset management division to assume the role of balanced portfolio analyst.
NAME: Roy McGregor

Credit Suisse has appointed Roy McGregor as chief operating officer in the UK. Before joining Credit Suisse, McGregor had full board responsibility for a number of key strategic projects at SG Hambros. McGregor completed his training with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1993 and spent the next 12 years of his career in Hong Kong, Singapore and Bangkok. After returning to the UK in 1995, he held three senior roles within NatWest's wealth management division, before being appointed general manager of the financial services division of Coutts & Co.

Close fund services has named Denise Mileham as project development director. Mileham has worked in the finance industry in Guernsey for nearly 20 years and is a member of the working party investigating the introduction of treasury shares. He joined CSFL IN 1997. Mileham is responsible for generating new business and ensuring the seamless launch of new funds administered by CFSL. Chris Hickling, a qualified chartered accountant, is being groomed to take over as operations director.
NAME: Christopher Collins
PROMOTION: Old Mutual
Old Mutual has named Christopher Collins as chairman, after the retirement of Mike Levett. Levett had been the chairman of the group since its listing in 1999. Collins was the senior independent director of the company since 1999, and is an experienced FTSE 100 chairman. In April 2005, prior to taking up this appointment, he will step down as chairman of Hanson, a role he has held since 1998. He is also a director of Forth Ports, Alfred McAlpine and The Go-Ahead Group.
NAME: Colin Clark
TO: Standard Life Investments
FROM: Merrill Lynch
Colin Clark has joined Standard Life Investments as non-executive director. Clark was previously head of global marketing at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. Clark has more than 15 years sales and marketing experience within fund management. He will assist Standard Life Investments in ensuring that their existing and potential clients have access to the best products and the highest levels of service available.
NAME: Matteo Perruccio
PROMOTION: Pioneer Investments
Pioneer Investments has named Matteo Perruccio as head of a newly formed global institutional business, which will be a key area of development for the group over the next few years. Perruccio has also been made responsible for all worldwide sales and distribution activities. He had been responsible for distribution outside the US and New Europe for some time, as well as being the head of the Italian business since late 2002.
NAME: Ernie Hayes, Iona Roberts and David Owen
PROMOTION: Surrenda-link (Hayes & Owen)
FROM: Rathbones (Roberts)
Surrenda-link has named Ernie Hayes as investment director. Hayes has been with the company nearly three years. In addition, Roberts has recently joined the company as investment analyst. Roberts will liaise with property advisors Keningtons to take responsibility for the property side of Surrenda Link Investment Fund. Owen is the latest addition to the investment team and has come onboard as investment analyst. Owen will liaise with US policy providers and manage portfolios for the US traded life interest fund.
NAME: Peter Pearson Lund
PROMOTION: Rathbone Brothers
Peter Pearson Lund has been appointed to the board of Rathbone Brothers. He is the chief executive of Rathbone unit trust management. Pearson Lund joined Rathbones in 1999 when the company decided to bring together its unit trust activities and develop them. Mark Powell, chairman, said: "In the five years since Peter joined us, funds under management have risen from under £100m to just over £800m." Pearson Lund had previously been managing director of Gartmore fund managers.
NAME: Ciara Hurley

Morgan Stanley Quilter has recruited Ciara Hurley as an investment manager in its Dublin office. Hurley joins from Merrill Lynch global private client group, where she was an investment director. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Hurley worked for Goodbody Stockbrokers for 13 years as a senior portfolio manager and was a member of the investment committee, specialising in the pharmaceutical sector. Including Hurley, there are nine investment managers in the Dublin office.

RMB International MultiManagers has appointed Stephen Marsh as head of performance, reporting and trading. He will report to chief operations officer Robert Rhodes. Marsh joins RMB International from Liontrust Asset Management, where he was performance and reporting executive. He has also worked as a strategic asset management analyst for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, a performance analyst for Legal & General Investment Managers, and a senior performance and risk analyst for Invesco Perpetual Europe.
NAME: Dan White

Dan White has joined New Star International's European desk. Before joining New Star International, White was a senior stock-picking analyst for CIC Securities. Prior to that, he spent five years at Newton and Dresdner RCM as associate director and assistant director respectively, specialising in European smaller companies. Richard Pease, head of European Equities, said: "White's knowledge of analysing European markets makes him a valuable addition to the team."

Credit Suisse Asset Management has appointed Nicolas Kahale as managing director. He will be the head of business development and relationship management for the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa. Kahale brings to Credit Suisse over 10 years experience in asset management marketing. He joins from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he was executive director and head of business development for the Middle East and new markets. Kahale will operate out of London, Zurich and the Middle East.
NAME: Michael Kerley

Henderson TR Pacific Investment Trust has appointed Michael Kerley as deputy fund manager. Kerley has over 12 years' experience of Asian stock markets. Prior to joining Henderson, he was a director of the Pacific Basin equities division of ISIS Asset Management. Previously he held a number of positions within Invesco Asset Management where he was ultimately responsible for its offshore emerging markets unit trust funds and other Asian orientated institutional funds.
