Dexion Alpha Strategies is to be included in the FTSE All-Share and FTSE Small Cap indices.
This decision followed a quarterly review by the FTSE Europe/Middle East/Africa Regional Committee. Prior to that, it was listed only on the London Stock Exchange.
The Guernsey registered, closed-ended investment company is a fund of hedge funds, which is advised by Swiss-based hedge fund managers RMF.
RMF said it was favouring hedge funds that focused its investment strategies towards emerging growth areas, deregulated regions and markets with high barriers to entry.
The group's outlook for 2007 is that investor confidence has recovered in recent months, which will help to push commodity, equity and emerging markets higher during the year.
Managers in the portfolio have been positioned for continued market strength, but can adjust their holdings should market conditions change.
It is currently weighted 10% in European loan opportunities, 21% Asian opportunities, 11% healthcare opportunities, 18% special situations, 9% emerging markets macro, 14% commodity strategies and 17% energy and emissions.
