Royal Skandia has launched a US dollar-denominated capital protected product hat invests in a basket of growth funds.
The US Dollar Protected Equity Performance fund invests 50% in the Merrill Lynch Global Equity fund; 25% in the Morgan Stanley US Equity Growth; and 25% in the JPMF American Equity.
Nic Burton, marketing manager at Royal Skandia, said: "After research with brokers in the Far East and Middle East these three funds were the ones the brokers favoured the most." By offering a highly actively managed fund set, Skandia hopes to attract investors who are keen to beat the index.
The product offers 100% capital protection, plus 100% return of the quarterly average investment growth, at the end of the product's six-year term.
The product is available only through the Royal Skandia Portfolio Bond. Investors can either invest solely in the US Dollar Protected Equity Performance through the bond or they can invest part of the bond in this product and make up the rest with other Skandia products.
