Philip Ehrmann, manager of the Gartmore Emerging Markets fund, is to hand over the day-to-day running of the portfolio to co-manager Chris Palmer from 1 November.
Ehrmann will remain head of Pacific and Emerging Markets and will continue to run institutional money, as well as providing input into the £30m Emerging Markets fund.
Gartmore believes the handover will better reflect day-to-day operations as Palmer has worked with Ehrmann on the portfolio for some time. Ratings agency Standard & Poor's has confirmed the funds AA rating will be unaffected by the change.
