Franklin Templeton Investments is opening an office in the Netherlands and adding to its 48-strong Luxembourg Sicav fund range.
Until now, Franklin Templeton has distributed funds in the Netherlands from its base in Luxembourg. The office in the Netherlands will be staffed by two sales executives.
Even though the Netherlands is the smallest funds market in the Benelux, Franklin Templeton sees potential growth in distributing through fund of funds, private banks and retail banks, as well as IFAs. Retail banks, such as Rabobank, are increasingly moving towards open architecture.
The company has also added the Templeton Global Income and Templeton Equity Income funds to its Sicav range.
