The International Investment Fund & Product Awards 2007 are now underway, with the expert judging panel looking for entries across 15 categories.
These cover international life offices, fund management, banking, structured products, healthcare and offshore centres.
This year, two new awards have been established, for private banking and international investment platform providers, while the judging process has been enhanced.
For the first time ever, the panel will be asking for readers' views on which companies they think are worthy winners via an online survey taking place in March.
Among the other changes taking place, the panel has nominated a shortlist of offshore centres consisting of Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Gibraltar, Dublin and Luxembourg.
Other offshore centres can still enter the awards and all entrants, including the six nominated, will be asked to fill in a questionnaire to help the judges pick the winning entry.
The Fund & Product Awards, now in their seventh year, retain the core group of industry experts from previous years who form the bulk of the judging panel. These include Malcolm Kerr of Ernst & Young, John Pattison of Scarab Consulting, Tim Mortimer of Future Value Consultants and Bambos Hambi of Gartmore. The panel will be chaired by Keren Holland, editor of International Investment.
The deadline for entries is 23 February and the winners will be announced at a black tie gala dinner to be held on the evening of Wednesday 16 May at the Victoria Park Plaza Hotel in London.
This takes place in front of an audience of leading intermediaries and product providers active in the offshore market.
The ceremony follows on from International Investment's daytime London Forum, now in its ninth year, which takes place at the same hotel.
This one day event will cover the key issues facing advisers conducting offshore business, including investment and tax planning for clients.
