arrangement will allow south african clients access to RBS International's products and services
The Royal Bank of Scotland International (RBS International) has entered into an agreement with South Africa's FirstRand Bank, to open a representative office in South Africa.
The deal facilitates the introduction of clients through the FirstRand Bank divisions of FNB Private Clients and RMB Private Bank, which have a requirement for offshore banking facilities. These clients will be able to access RBS International's selected range of products and services.
RBS International believes its range of international personal banking services will appeal particularly to clients of FNB Private Clients and RMB Private Bank who either spend extended periods of time working or living abroad, or seek investment and currency diversification.
Wil Beaumont, managing director of international personalbanking at RBS International, said: "This agreement is further evidence of RBS International's commitment to the international market and the attractiveness of Jersey as an offshore financial centre.
"RBS International looks forward to a sustained work-ing relationship with FNB Private Clients and RMB Private Bank."key points
