Anglo Irish Bank has boosted the rates on its Privilege account range.
The higher rates apply to Anglo's dollar and euro accounts, including its instant access accounts, notice accounts and bonds. It now pays 4.75% gross for dollar deposits, while the Privilege 12-month bond pays a rate of 5.3% gross for deposits in dollars.
Other rate changes include a 0.25% increase on its Privilege Access and Seven Day dollar accounts from 4.5% to 4.75% and a 0.3% increase on its 90 Day account to 5%.
It has also increased rates on its euro Privilege Access account from 2.25% to 2.5%, its Privilege Seven Day account from 2.35% to 2.6% and its Privilege 90 Day account from 2.5% to 2.7%. Its 12-month bond was increased to 3.15%, 18-month bond to 3.25% and 24-month bond to 3.4%.
It has also simplified its account opening procedures to allow fast access to accounts. All Anglo accounts are available with a minimum balance of 5,000 in all major currencies.
