Henderson Global Investors has launched a special situations hedge fund. The fund, managed by Adam Tyrrell and Will Ballard invests in companies involved in corporate restructuring, such as takeover and merger situations. It also focuses on other corporate structure arbitrage opportunities such as holding companies and share class trades. The vehicle invests on a global basis and predominantly follows the event-driven strategy of Henderson's multi-strategy equities team, which has achieved an annualised return of 13.88% since 2004.
