Peter Niven has been appointed chief executive of Guernsey Finance. He succeeds Talmai Morgan, who announced last month that he was stepping down to move to an external consultancy role. As well as being chief executive, Niven will continue in his role as director of finance sector development. He moved to Guernsey in 1996 and was previously chief executive of the Lloyds TSB offshore financial services group.
