The judges wanted to highlight a service that goes far beyond simply offering information and downloads to one that is interactive and transactional, allowing the intermediary to function more efficiently and the client to receive a better service.
Hansard impressed the judging panel with its comprehensive internet-based proposition, which allowed intermediaries to keep track of business their clients have with the group, segment their existing client bases effectively, and provide tailored reporting to clients. The judges also noted Hansard's strong commitment to providing content in foreign languages, making it truly international in scope.
In the same category Fairbairn Private Bank was the worthy winner of a highly commended accolade. While Fairbairn does not have the overseas scope of Hansard, the judges liked the functionality of Fairbairn's Focus platform. This can be used to provide not only basic banking accounts but can also be expanded out to include investments and even a bespoke portfolio management arrangement.
This service, coupled with improvements made to it over the last 12 months, helped Fairbairn win the Best Offshore Banking Group award, and also ensured it made the shortlist for Best Internet & Technology Provider.
