Established in 1992, AXA Isle of Man Limited (formerly Sun Life International (IOM) Limited) has considerable expertise in the offshore market. Part of the global AXA group, the company's success has been built on outstanding customer service, excellent e-commerce facilities and competitive products that offer a wide range of investment choice and control.
AXA Isle of Man operates from the secure and tax efficient environment of the Isle of Man, where it manages in excess of £2.3bn for over 18,000 customers (as at 31 December 2004).
AXA Isle of Man offers its products to individual, corporate and trustee investors via financial advisers based in the British Isles, in other words, the UK, Isle of Man or Channel Islands. One of the main market needs met by AXA Isle of Man is inheritance tax planning, an increasingly significant issue for many UK tax payers.
Around 100 staff work in AXA Isle of Man's offices in Douglas. AXA Isle of Man's state-of-the-art systems ensure that the excellent standards of service for which the company has a reputation can be maintained. A philosophy of continuous improvement means that the service provided by the company is constantly being refined and enhanced to make sure that customers benefit as much as possible from technological advances.
An example of this is the secure extranet, AXA Isle of Man Online. This system provides financial advisers and their clients with access to a wide range of information. Advisers can track their pipeline business, check their commission statements, produce quotations and issue them in an email, with the relevant product literature attached if they wish and produce policy valuations. If authorised to do so, they can carry out switching of their clients' funds.
The recently launched portfolio planning tool, also accessed via AXA Isle of Man Online, enables advisers to build investment portfolios to match the risk profile of the individual client. Existing investments can be plugged in to compare the current risk profile with the target profile, allowing any adjustment to be easily recommended. Furthermore, the client's longer-term financial goals can be built in to show how these might be met through the chosen portfolio. This tool also provides information on the funds available through AXA Isle of Man's investment bonds.
AXA Isle of Man's objective is to make it as easy as possible for financial advisers and their clients to do business.
AXA Isle of Man is not subject to the same regulatory system as that which applies in the UK.
