Insurer Zurich is launching Zurich Horizon Investment Solutions, a new investment proposition comprising a range of risk profiled funds managed by Threadneedle Investments.
Last week, IFAonline's sister title Investment Week revealed the insurer plans to expand its UK business into fund management and has held talks with a number of groups to flesh out the deal.
The new business will see the launch of five multi-asset risk profiled funds managed by Threadneedle Investments. The asset allocation to which the individual funds are aligned will be provided by eValue.
Zurich already has a relationship with Threadneedle Investments, which it previously owned. Threadneedle manages a large proportion of insurance and pension assets for the insurance giant.
Gary Shaughnessy, chief executive of Zurich UK Life, said: "Zurich Horizon Investment Solutions is all about simplifying and streamlining the investment selection process and delivering outcomes that advisers and their clients expect."
Campbell Fleming, chief executive of Threadneedle, added: "We are delighted to be working closely with Zurich on these new multi-asset funds. Threadneedle enjoys a long-term, strategic relationship with Zurich, which reflects our ability to deliver performance to meet investor needs."
Partner Insight: For Blackfinch, the arrival of its IHT portfolio services was a 'natural evolution' in the group's offering and points to an established track record of returning cash to investors.
