ING Investment Management has appointed two new senior portfolio managers to its emerging market debt team.
Marcin Adamczyk joins as senior portfolio manager for EMD local currency, based in The Hague.
Alia Yousuf joins in the same role, but will be based in Singapore.
Both will report to Marcelo Assalin, lead portfolio manager for EMD local currencies, based in Atlanta in the US.
Adamcyzk has more than 15 years of experience in EMD fixed income markets. He joins from MN, a Dutch pension fund fiduciary manager, where he was senior fund manager for emerging market debt.
He has previously worked at Lombard Odier Investment Managers on the EMD team.
Yousuf joins from ACPI Investment in London where she was head of emerging market debt. She has 13 years experience managing EMD portfolios.
She has held various fund management roles at Standard Asset Management and First State Investments.
"We are pleased to welcome both Marcin and Alia to ING IM. Each of them has a strong track record in managing emerging market debt portfolios," said Jeremy Brewin, head of emerging market debt at the firm.
"That, combined with more than a decade of investment experience, makes them valuable additions to our EMD team."
