Skandia UK sales director Steve Powell has announced his intention to retire at the end of the year after 23 years with the company.
Powell (pictured) has been in the role since October 2012. He joined Skandia from Prolific in 1993 to head up the national account function and has since held a number of roles, including head of the corporate partners team, and positions on the Skandia multifunds board and life assurance company board
He said: "I am extremely proud of what we have achieved during my time at Skandia. It is a good business with good people. I have been lucky to be surrounded by some exceptional men and women over recent years. Skandia was, is and always will be a great place to work."
Skandia UK managing director Peter Mann said: "Steve has had a long and distinguished career at Skandia spanning more than two decades. During that time Skandia has become recognised as a leading provider, serving the financial adviser community and Steve has played a key role in helping to build that position."
