Cazenove's Thorpe joins Sarasin as head of retail

Rob Thorpe has joined Sarasin & Partners as head of retail as the group recruits three former Cazenove sales managers to its enlarged team.

Thorpe (pictured) - formerly head of UK retail at Cazenove - will join Sarasin on 30 September. His Cazenove colleagues Tom Hanafin and Paul Pugh will also move across as the Swiss boutique expands its UK retail distribution team to seven people. The trio officially left Cazenove last week as Schroders completed its £424m acquisition of the firm. IFA Online's sister title Investment Week previously revealed that Thorpe and Cazenove head of investment funds Robin Minter-Kemp would not be joining Schroders once the deal completed.
