The Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) has launched a new brand for consumers to make them aware of the value of professional financial planning.
Wayfinder consists of a consumer website, Facebook page and YouTube channel that aim to guide consumers towards taking up financial advice.
The IFP told its members: "Creating greater awareness and engagement with consumers is a key element in IFP's strategy to highlight the benefits and value of professional financial planning advice, to ultimately increase the demand for and take up of the services which you provide.
"Through our new Wayfinder brand and website, we'll be working to help consumers understand the importance of financial planning whilst raising the profile of accredited financial planning firms and CFP professionals too."
The Wayfinder website provides tips, tools and resources for consumers seeking to plan their finances and also features a search facility that links them up with accredited financial planners.
The Wayfinder facebook page, which was previously the Financial Planning Week Facebook page, will feature blogs and posts from IFP members.
The IFP plans to adjust its planners' site to the new branding and roll out mobile versions at the end of July.
