Transact head of marketing Malcolm Murray has announced his intention to depart the firm after nearly 13 years employment.
Murray said he is stepping down from 10 July in order to return to running his own consultancy after a ten-year hiatus.
Murray said: "It was in 2000, nine months after the company started, that I was approached by Transact to act as a consultant. The agreement was that I would work for one day a week and I envisaged for a period of a few months. Now twelve and a half years later, after working full time for that period, I have decided to take a step back. I will return to running my own consultancy again.
"If I have missed anything (which has been very little) it is the variety of work which running a consultancy involves. I look forward to being "the boss" again when I can choose the tasks to undertake."
