The Institute of Financial Planners (IFP) has launched a new annual award to recognise the leading accredited financial planning firm of the year.
The Recognising Excellence award will be given to accredited firms registered with the IFP judged on the impact that the firms have made on the financial planning profession over the past year and their business performance.
Judging will take place over the summer months and the winning firm will be announced at the IFP Conference in October.
IFP education director Sue Leech, who is one of the judges for the award, said: "We're really excited to launch this new award.
"Accredited Firms represent the leaders in the financial planning profession. This is not just by demonstrating excellence in process and service to clients but, most importantly, in setting the standard to which other firms will aspire.
"The winning firm will clearly show itself to be the 'best of the best' and will be a shining example of how firms can thrive despite the challenges that many advisory businesses now face."
IFP launched its register of Accredited Financial Planning Firms in 2011 with its "Great Minds Think Alike" campaign.
The register currently holds 56 firms which have been assessed by the IFP prior to being accepted.
