Adviser support group Tenet has tapped into the consumer care market by teaming up with a new online advice service specialising in the care industry.
Tenet will offer financial advice services to consumers with care and care-related needs browsing through Ostrich, a new care, retirement and lifestyle planning advice site.
The move will allow Tenet to attract custom from people looking to source care homes, legal services, insurance, travel and mobility products who will be able to click through to Tenet to find a financial adviser to assist them with queries such as savings schemes and property purchases.
Tenet group brands director Mike O'Brien said: "The over-50s control 80% of the country's wealth and equate to a population of some 20 million. By 2020, they are projected to comprise 40% of the UK population.
"It is an area of great potential and one where we feel we can play a valuable role in helping people get the financial advice they need as they, or their family, approach a significant time of their lives."
Tenet recently teamed up with Equifax to launch an anti-money laundering service for its advisers, which it said would allow them to process transactions more efficiently, speed up authorisation processes and improve the customer experience.
