Graham Bentley has quit Skandia in the fallout from the group's merger with Old Mutual.
Bentley (pictured) was head of investment marketing at Selestia before it was bought by Skandia in 2006.
He was then promoted to head of proposition at the firm, but, following a restructure which led to the loss of 200 jobs, returned to an investment marketing role last year.
Skandia marketing director Michelle Andrews said: "As a result of a number of changes in accountabilities within our investment functions, Graham Bentley has decided to take the opportunity to seek new challenges outside of the group.
"He has contributed significantly to the business and both his knowledge and quick wit will be missed."
It is understood a replacement will not be sought, with Bentley's role being split between Skandia's marketing and investment teams.
Andrews will take over investment marketing, with the sales and marketing work with fund groups moving to the investment solutions team.
