Henderson has appointed the former dean of Cass Business School, Richard Gillingwater, as its new chairman.
The group said Gillingwater, who is currently non-executive chairman of CDC Group, and also a senior independent director of businesses including Hiscox, has been appointed as chairman designate and a non-executive director.
He will become chairman after the AGM in May.
Gillingwater replaces current chairman Rupert Pennant-Rea who is standing down from the Board after the Annual General Meeting.
Pennant-Rea said: "Henderson will be well served by having a person of Richard's standing as its chairman and his experience will be a great asset to the company."
