The Professional Adviser ‘Personality of the Year' award is going to be hotly contested this year between no less than seven nominations.
In the run up to RDR implementation there were many names that stood out for us as having made significant contributions to the adviser landscape and the way advisers do business. The fact that we chose seven candidates - instead of the usual five or so - is a reflection of that wealth of choice. It was a difficult decision.
The shortlisted seven individuals will now go forward to the last stage of the award process, the voting, which will take place at the Professional Adviser Awards ceremony on 7 February 2013.
On the night, every table will have a ballot box on it and every attendee a voting slip. Each guest will vote for the individual they believe deserves the accolade of Personality of the Year 2013.
The votes will be counted there and then and the winner announced at the end of the awards process.
And the nominees are...
Martin Bamford (managing director, Informed Choice)
Dennis Hall (managing director, Yellowtail Financial Planning)
Mark Polson (principal, the Lang Cat)
Pete Matthew (managing director, Jacksons Financial Services)
Phil Billingham (director, Phil Billingham Partnership)
Rebecca Taylor (managing director, Dunham Financial Services)
Gill Cardy (managing director, IFA Centre)
