LGIM asset allocation head North exits

David North, head of asset allocation and head of global high yield bonds at Legal & General IM, is to leave the group after 12 years.

North (pictured) launched and ran the Legal & General £581m Global Macro Themes fund and £1.4bn High Income trust prior to taking extended sick leave in 2011. Global Macro Themes was then taken over by Ben Gill, with Roger Bartley taking over management of the High Income trust. North was also manager of L&G's range of distribution funds, subsequently taken over by Kevin Chessum in 2011. "It has been a pleasure working with my teams. After a dozen years of success with LGIM I am looking forward to new challenges." LGIM said North has been "instrumental" in the growth and success...
