London & Colonial's multi-platform self invested personal pension (SIPP) and multi-platform open annuity have been made available via the Cofunds platform.
The move marks a change in direction for London & Colonial which sees it catering for a more mainstream market, driven by an increased demand for such products from clients and financial advisers.
Traditionally, the group has aimed at higher net worth clients.
Sales and marketing director at Cofunds, Alastair Conway, said: "In the current climate platforms should be working to help intermediaries in a number of ways, one of the most important being to help them demonstrate their value to end investors. An integral element of that is responding to changing retirement planning needs.
"London & Colonial pioneered the investment linked flexible annuity market with its original ‘open annuity' and this offers our platform users an alternative post retirement option not previously available."
The funds will be provided on the platform via Cofunds Funds Inside service. Funds Inside provides instant access to more than 1,500 funds from 90 plus fund managers.
