British fashion designer Stella McCartney is in talks with three finance professionals about designing their long johns for the City Endeavour North Pole charity trek.
Matthew Deeprose, UK sales director at Dominion Corporate Services, and two fellow financial professionals are to trek to the North Pole in April 2013 in a bid to raise £1m for Walking with the Wounded and Mission Motorsport.
Dame Vivienne Westwood has also been approached to design beanie hats for the team's charity trek.
Deeprose said: "It has not been confirmed yet, but we are in talks with Stella McCartney who wants to design our long johns and Vivienne Westwood who is talking about doing something."
The team's chosen charities support ex-servicemen and women who have been left physically and/or psychologically scarred by battle.
Deeprose said the team is receiving backing from a picture editor at ITV, who has used her connections to put them in touch with the designers.
But he stressed: "This is very much about a collective effort of our industry to help those who put their lives on the line for us."
The team is still looking for at least two more companies from the investment management industry to sponsor the two-week mission.
They are currently in talks with Threadneedle, Skandia and Close Brothers Group.
