Fay Goddard to retire as PFS chief

Personal Finance Society (PFS) chief executive Fay Goddard is to retire next year after five years in the job.

Goddard presided over a membership increase of 9,000, from 24,000 to 33,000, and introduced the Chartered Insurance Institute's (CII's) Chartered Financial Planner initiative. A successor is yet to be appointed. Dr Sandy Scott, chief executive of the CII, said: "I am sorry that Fay will be leaving us, but she has successfully led the PFS through the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) and will be leaving the organisation in excellent shape, both in terms of reputation and membership size.
