Former Treasury minister Paul Myners has joined the board of the Ecofin Water & Power Opportunities investment trust as a non-executive and independent director.
Lord Myners (pictured) was financial services secretary during Gordon Brown's term as Prime Minister between 2008 and 2010. He was headhunted by the former PM to help shape his economic policies. Labour appointed Myners a life peer for this work in government.
Myners is also a director of the RIT Capital Partners investment trust and former chairman of Land Securities and Marks & Spencer.
"The board of Ecofin Water & Power Opportunities is pleased to announce the appointment of Lord (Paul) Myners as a non-executive director of the company with immediate effect," said the group.
"Lord Myners will also serve as a member of the company's audit and management engagement committees."
