The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) is in the market for "exceptional people" to become senior Ombudsmen, on salaries of more than £85,000 plus benefits.
Ombudsman settle disputes between financial services businesses and their customers if an agreement cannot be reached at an earlier stage.
The FOS said it is looking for individuals who possess "sound and robust judgement skills" and who have experience in law or quasi-judicial environments.
"We have legally binding powers, and our ombudsmen need to have, or to develop, expertise in the relevant areas of law", the job description states.
It adds the role is not a "point and click management", nor a "backroom" job.
The starting salary is £85,537 plus flexible benefits and a non-contributory money-purchase pension.
