Back office provider IntelliFlo has appointed Dave Chessell as sales director.
He will head IntelliFlo's sales and marketing teams, and was formerly regional sales manager at Novia.
Chessell also spent more than 17 years at Skandia, most recently as sales director.
The appointment signalled what IntelliFlo called a move to ‘wrap of wraps' - advisers accessing and viewing all their platforms on a single system.
Chessell's platform background was crucial, said CEO Nick Eatock (pictured, centre).
"Dave possesses unrivalled skills and expertise of advisers and wraps, gained from 30 years in the financial services industry including lead distribution roles at Skandia and Novia - two of the most dynamic and successful brands in the platform and wrap space," he said.
"This makes him the perfect person to lead sales and marketing at IntelliFlo during this next exciting phase of our development.
"After RDR it is clear that advice companies that can transform their processes to reduce costs and increase client time will succeed and grow rapidly. Helping advisers achieve this has always been at the heart of everything IntelliFlo has delivered to advisers."
Chessell added: "The emphasis that RDR places on enhancing service and segmentation, without multiplying costs, mean the transition to single system propositions based on cloud technology will accelerate rapidly over the next few years.
"This can only be good news for IntelliFlo and I am enormously excited at the prospect of working with advisers to help them capture the opportunities the RDR presents."
