On-Line Partnership Group is to appoint ex-Tenet commercial director Peter Lane to the role of group commercial director.
The group said Lane, who takes up the post this Monday, will play a key role in further expansion of the business and will have responsibility for it's acquisition strategy.
Lane's last role was as deputy chief executive and group commercial director of Tenet Group. He worked for Tenet between 2002 and 2010.
Lane had responsibility for Tenet's original management buy out in 2000 as well as strategic development and growth of the business and finally the sale of the management's equity stake in 2010.
Group CEO Kevin McDonagh said that Lane would be crucial to further expansion of On-Line Partnership after the Retail Distribution Review (RDR).
Lane said: "I am delighted to be returning to the distribution sector in the run up to RDR. The group has impressed me over the last few months by delivering sound financial results in a difficult trading environment.
"At the same time, it is maintaining its commitment to independent financial advice which I believe is critical to the long-term prosperity of the UK's savings industry."
