Former life settlements boss joins Transact board

Wrap platform Transact has appointed Jeremy Brettell to its board of directors.

He joined the board yesterday after the departure of former non-executive director Max Wright in March, according to records filed at Companies House. Brettel was chief executive of life settlements provider SL Investment Management from October 2006 to May 2011. He left to found Drachen, a consultancy specialising in business development. He began his career as a regional insurance manager with HBOS, rising to become head of tied advice at Leeds Building Society. He then served as head of IFA and client contact at Scottish Provident between 1995 and 2001.
