The Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) has launched a campaign designed to raise awareness of the benefits of financial planning to the general public.
A mobile website and text messaging service will run alongside other marketing efforts ahead of Financial Planning Week 2012, which takes place in November.
The text service enables consumers to find out their nearest Accredited Financial Planning Firm.
A register of Accredited Financial Planning Firms register, launched last year, lists businesses that have met criteria set by the IFP to be called true financial planning firms.
Almost 50 businesses are now on the register.
