The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will run a series of adverts for auto-enrolment at a cost of £11m.
The campaign will begin in the national press on 23 January and will include radio, print, online and outdoor ads.
Ads will explain the basics of the reforms and signpost people to the Directgov website for more information.
Steve Webb, pensions minister, said: "As we head into the final stretch before millions of people begin to be enrolled into a workplace pension, it is vital that we make surethat individuals and employers know what to expect.
"Automatic enrolment will transform this country, putting an end to the decline in pension saving, and setting millions on course for a more prosperous retirement."
The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) came under fire in September when it announced its £4m TV ad campaign had failed to make a significant impact on consumers.
