Bestinvest launches model portfolios on Ascentric

Bestinvest has launched its range of model portfolios on Ascentric in a move which allows the firm to offer several of its discretionary solutions to IFA partners.
Kendal-based firm Financial Management Bureau (FMB) will be the first to access the 14 risk-rated models following a strategic decision to review both its wrap platform and outsourced investment management arrangements.
"We made a strategic decision to use Bestinvest for model portfolios due to its robust process, focus on risk management before returns and because it is a good option for returns-led income portfolios," says Richard Hancock, investment analyst at Financial Management Bureau.
The portfolios cover a broad range of risk profiles including growth and corporate income requirements.
"We were particularly impressed with the technology and user friendly aspects of the Ascentric platform for both a DFM and IFA viewpoint as well as the support they provide to their users," says Bestinvest business development consultant Mark Ommanney.
