IFP members using Techlink Professional will be able to automatically log unstructured learning hours on the organisation's CPD platform.
The news and analysis system from Technical Connection is available to IFP members at a discounted rate and is currently used by around 80 members.
Under the new joint venture, unstructured learning automatically logged within Techlink Professional can be imported onto the CPD log on the IFP platform.
Nick Cann, CEO of IFP, says : "Technical Connection are acknowledged leaders in their field and provide a vast range of high quality, structured and unstructured CPD opportunities for planners and advisers.
"Subscription to Techlink will not only assist our members with their gap-filling tasks but also their ongoing professional development plans.
"This is the first of a number of great initiatives that will be introduced during the IFP's 25th year which will provide ongoing benefit for financial planners and paraplanners alike."
Almost half of IFP's members currently use the organisation's CPD platform to record and monitor their activities.
